How does this work?

We will discuss over the phone your event and I will help in picking the right menu. I shop and bring all the ingredients to your home, arriving at least 3 hours prior to dinner service. Appetizers are served about an hour before dinner: plated (up to 10 people); family or buffet style. Afterwards I clear the table, clean up the kitchen and box up any leftovers. It's that easy.
How many people will you serve?

I serve parties from 2 people up to 30. I am a one man show, so parties of 25 or more may require an assistant to ensure both a smooth service and effective attention to details.
Why should I consider #mymikecooks?

No one likes to stress with having to shop, feed and clean up afterwards for a group of people, whatever the celebration is. Hiring me ensures you'll get to spend quality time with your guests and truly enjoy the party while I take care of all the work. For some, it's a more personable experience to have a gathering in the home rather than a restaurant: finding parking, wait time to be seated and then feel rushed through. With Mike in your home, you can feel more relaxed, comfortable and enjoy the food prepared with your company.
How much will this cost me?

I will provide a written estimate for your event. The costs consists of the menu items selected plus my service fee as stated on the menu. You will find that the costs are just as comparable as to going out to a restaurant but with the convenience of your own home.
Can I just order food and have you drop off?

No - I am not a "caterer" but a personal chef - all meals are prepared and served in your home by me with the added convenience of clean up.
What if there are food allergies or dietary concerns?

No probelm at all. Whether anyone has a seafood/shellfish, gluten, dairy, nuts allergy or vegetarian, vegan or other dietary concerns, please let me know ahead of time and I will accommodate.
Do you also provide drinks/alcohol?

No I do not - I am not licensed to sell alcohol.

Excellent! Please go to the Contact page and click on the email link or call me. I will provide a written estimate for your review and require a deposit to hold your date. One week before the event, I will confirm the event details and number of people attending, as well as go over any changes needed.
